New reservation system

From May 1st a new reservation and ticket service to the Alhambra is launched. From now on, it will be easier to buy a private ticket to visit the Monumental Complex. You will have the possibility to purchase your tickets online (tickets.alhambra-patronato.es) between three months and up to two hours before of the visit. All tickets will be personalized with your ID or passport.

Print your ticket

The new system also provides for the possibility for you to print the ticket on your own and present it at the monument when visiting. The printing can also be done from the ATMs enabled in the Generalife box office area and in the vicinity of the Carlos V Palace, in the Estafeta building.

QR Code and payment

Another novelty is that the tickets have have a QR code. You can pay by credit card both at the Ticket Office and at other the points set up in the monumental site or in cash, as was the case until now.
Once you have bought the ticket online, you will receive two emails. In these emails you will receive some recommendations about the visit and the security guidelines.

Alhambra closed

At this moment the Alhambra is closed to the public. But presumably if everything goes well from May 11th onwards it will be possible to reserve entrance tickets again to the most important Moorish palaces complex in Europe.
Probably the first date that the Alhambra will open to the public again will be the 25th of May.

On occasion of this new system we are happy to offer you a small video about the Alhambra palaces and the Generalife gardens we have made recently.

More information you can find on the website of the Patronato of the Alhambra

With this new system the system which was introduced 4 years ago and which favoured especially the agencies with group visits (see our article from 2017 )has been abolished.
