Casa de la Luz is a holiday rental villa located on a wonderful spot at the edge of the village of Bubión in the Alpujarras, in Granada province. Casa de la Luz means means the house of the light. From the spacious terrace of the house and the living room you will indeed enjoy the excellent views and variations of the illumination of the surrounding landscape.
Bubion is a picturesque Moorish village, situated in the National Park of Sierra Nevada with the highest mountains in Spain, Mulhacen at 3482m and Veleta at 3362m. If you like walking, nature and tranquility : you can find exactly what you are looking for here. It’s 70 km from Granada and 40 km from the coast. Since 2018 Bubión is part of the association of the Most beautiful villages of Spain and also of the Villages Slow.
Description Casa de la Luz
The house is built in typical Alpujarreñan style, with flat roofs and ceilings with wooden beams. It is stylishly decorated with a mixture of antique and modern furniture. From both the living room and the terrace you have a marvellous view onto the Poqueira Valley. When the weather is very clear you even can admire the sight of the Mediterranean sea and the mountains of Africa.
The house has one floor. As you enter you find the dinner corner in the livingroom and on your right the terrace. As you go to the left you encounter the cosy sofa corner with the open fireplace and the television.
Further inside the house there are the two bedrooms oposite each other: One with a double bed the other one with two single beds.
The small kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, a washing machine and a micro wave oven.
The bathroom features a full size bathtub
The house has a central heating system for the colder wintermonths.
The orientation of the terrace is south-west.
Sometimes sheep or a horse will be grazing on the field in front of the house.
There is internet connection in the house
The owners speak English, French, German as well as Dutch.
